Another milestone reached, I have now given more than 9,000 hours of instruction to pilots to help them pass the ICAO English Proficiency Test.
It's been nearly 9 years working in aviation, more than 27 years since I gave my first English class. This year has been very productive so far, the school I was working at in São Paulo shut down so I was forced to move the Intensive ICAO Course to a new home at ICALearning. Until now nobody that has done the Intensive Course with me in the new school has failed the ICAO test, 100% of those who got their results have passed, it's been incredible. In August I managed to fit in an intensive course exclusively for helicopter pilots, at Heliparque, again everybody passed.
I am still doing preparation classes via Skype and all those students have been passing as well. My online course at www.icaoqrh.com is booming, everybody is getting good results and saying that the course really helped them to prepare. More and more pilots have been downloading my mobile application "ICAO Test", it's had more than 13,000 downloads now. At the start of October I spent three days at the Brazilian Institute of Air Traffic Control in São José dos Campos at a Seminar to discuss Aeronautical English. It was invaluable to learn about the new trends and research in the sector.
